Preparing Your Heart for the Fast

As you look ahead to consecration week, here are a few simple ways to prepare:

1. Pray
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you—both in how you fast and in what He wants to speak to you this week.

2. Plan
Choose the type of fast that will best help you focus on God—whether food, media, partial, or a custom fast.

3. Reflect & Write
Take time beforehand to consider:
  • What you’re believing God for in 2026
  • What you’re thankful for from 2025
Bring these written reflections with you as we lift them up together in prayer.

4. Partner
Consider inviting a friend, family member, or prayer partner. Seeking God together strengthens faith and encourages perseverance.

5. Friday, January 9
Join us downstairs as we break the fast together. Instant ramen noodles and boiled eggs will be provided. You’re also welcome to bring your favorite break-the-fast food—and something to share if you’d like.
